This all depends if mower is two stroke or four stroke

2 stroke no need because you mix oil with gas, and that's all.

4 stroke there is plug under deck where blade rotates this must be undone, then there is filler hole top of deck  close to base of motor usually front of motor you may be able to undo be hand if not be careful theses are plastic mostly. Fill with 30w engine oil that's good enough be sure not to overfill or the mower will make lots of smoke.

Usually the drain plug is found under the lawnmower, near where the shaft is.  Undo it and allow the oil to drain, then retighten.  You usally add the oil in the opening where the dipstick is.  Do not overfill!
