  1. Of course make sure you have the gear and time for it.

The coachs do not want to hear I have an appointment or I dont have that.(I forgot a mouthguard my first day).

Some may be understanding, but others wont be.

Before tryouts make sure you run to get in shape or improve your speed, they need players who can, if they must, play an hour straight while running around. Mind if you are not that good at field(i sucked at it) then you have two options. One is to keep going and hope you will improve. Many go this way and end up being very good and improving a whole lot. But some do fail. The other is to try being a keeper. You will still have to run a little and be in shape. But running is not as important as reflexes and fearlessness. Coachs do need some one who can take a 40 mph ball and not jump out of the way.

Over all make sure that the coach knows that you are trying and are willing to improve. Stay late, ask for help, and do not act like you are above anybody or doing anything. If they say do 50 pushups do as many as you can and keep trying. They can tell when you are faking inability (they made one girl run for 3 hours cause she said her hand hurt and couldnt hit.we all knew she was lying). Though if you do get hurt try to push through it if it is only a little thing like a bruise or jam. If it is fairly bad (pulled muscel, broken something, pass out) do not be afraid to speek up. We have all been through it and will understand. Some times they may say to do an alternative to what ever they are doing. If you can not hit rin, if you can not run hit. Take it and do it the best you can.

Mile time, well try to be around 8 minutes or less. More is fine but they like 8.

Kay, day before tryouts drink a whole lot of h2o. During tryout drink h2o and gatorade(or like stuff) in either = amounts ar more h2o.

    Thats about it.
