How mant QTs of oil will a 8.1 liter chevy marine engine hold?

Same as a car engine unless the pan has been changed. Car will take 5-6 qts. Boats usually have more lines for coolers to fill so it could be a little more. I have twin 502's in my Scarab but they have 12 qt. pans and dual filters and take 15 qts to fill. Start by putting in 5 and take readings on the dip stick until it's full.
