  1. TriChlor tablets are designed to erode when in water.  Warmer water temperatures will accelerate the erosion process.  First, establish the free chlorine in your pool with liquid chlorine, sodium hypochlorite.  1-3 ppm is considered normal.  1ppm with liquid pool chlorine 12.5% for 2200 gallons is 2.44 oz.  Two ppm or three ppm are 2-3 times that amount.  Floating dispensers have holes or slots on the sides that restrict water entry and therefore erosion and disbursement of chlorine.  If you do not have any floater adjustment then add 10-1" tablets and check your chlorine level in several days.  The chlorine level in the floater should maintain the chlorine residual until the tabs dissolve.

Cyanuric Acid, Stabilizer and conditioner are all the same thing.  CYA protects the chlorine in the pool from the ultra violet rays of the sun and allow your chlorine to stay around longer.  Should be 25-30ppm.  If you don't have it you will be adding more chlorine until the stabilizer in the trichlor builds up.
