How many 11 year olds do you know?

that go jogging atleast once aweek? and more than 1.5 miles? also is it healthy?

  1. I don't know any 11 year olds who go running/jogging at least once a week. It's healthy, but I don't know any.


  2. i know about 5 11 year old that go more than 1.5 miles a week, becuase they're on the cross country team, but any 11 year old on a team will probaly have a mile warm up at practice

    i have a few friends and Im thirteen

    im pretty sure they went jogging when they were around that age

    i also like going out but don't have alot of time

    its probably just normal

    but if it gets out of hand, like 5 miles a week and non stop excercise, seek out a doctors help.

  6. I do not know of any yet I think this jog once a week at about 2 miles is a very great start! All I would have to say is try not to run too hard and try not to push yourself too much. Your muscles and bones are totally not developed so it would be in your best interest to keep the training to a minimal. Once you are in the 7th or 8th grade I would say would be a great time to start competing.

  7. Personally, I dont know any, however I do know of a few that do.

    1.5 miles isnt too far really - 15 minutes at the most for a healthy 11 year old, and you would cover that distance in an average game of football for example (and more as well) - so how many 11 year olds do you know that play at least 45 mins of football once a week and is that healthy?

    Actually, thinking about it now - in school, many years ago we used to do cross country run, 2 or 3 laps of the grounds and that took 20 - 30 mins (while the teachers had a sneaky cigarette in the warm) - must have beenat least 1.5 miles, so then I knew 120, 11 year olds who did

  9. There is a running club in my area which has a junior section from age 10. I would consider it healthy as children are always being told to have more exercise.

  10. i know no one... It is good exercise but a 11 year old should be playing not running. Unless they enjoy it!
