  1. About 170-get extra for breakage

  2. 178 tiles

  3. 4 tiles = 9 sq. feet.

    400/9 =44.4 rounded to 45

    45X 4= 180 tiles.

  4. 267 (+ 10% for waste allowance)

    12" x 12" tiles = 1 sq.ft

    400 sq.ft divided by 1 (sq.ft) = 400 tiles

    18"  x 18" tiles = 1.5 sq.ft

    400 sq.ft divided by 1.5 = 267

Bear in mind that you will need to have a few extras in case of mistakes and to allow for cutting which is where the standard 10% extra comes into account.

I am interested to see how the 178 answer was calculated - it doesn't add up to me and we have been doing this for a long time.

    Good luck.

  5. Candy you will need 6 boxes of 30 tile.  I don,t think you can buy the 18  x 18 tile individually.  I would also want to have some extra down the road in case you need to replace one later.

    Good Luck

  6. Yes Glenn is right at 178 tiles.  But you need a few more due to cutting/wastage.
