Title basically sums it up. I found a local ad with these guys for free, he has a bunch of them, and I was wondering how many I could fit into a 72g bowfront tank. Thanks in advance!

  1. Also got to remember that the Troph's can grow to 4 to 5 inches. They do excellant in groupd of 12 or more however.

But the general rule of thumb is 1inch of fish per gallon of water.

A newer equation surfing around states 1 fish per 4 square inch of space in the tank.

  2. well you should have 1 gallon of water for every inch of fish you have, so if the fish are 2-3 inches, then you could have 24-36 of them

  3. the rule is one inch of fish per gallon so you could have 24, however if they breed then you could end up with hundreds of baby fish depending on how easily that fish breeds.
