a lottt. like during testing, exams, and math and science classes mostly.

I use about 8 or 9 in a year because I lose them.

But I usually use mechanical pencils

I only use pencils during  art and math class or when we are using math in science. I also use them during standardized tests, like the SAT, etc. I go through about 3 packs of 12 pencils, which is 36 pencils a year. During most of my classes I use pen. So buy tons of pens.

Almost never. The only time I use #2 pencils is when I take tests such as the SAT, CAT, AP Exams, etc. In class I use pens and mechanical pencils.
