  1. 7.5 so approx 8 tiles

  2. if you mean 4 inches by 4 inches then i calculate 1080.

    120 sq feet is, say 10 feet x 12 feet that is 120 inches x 144 inches divide each by 4 to get the number of tiles vertically and horizontally ( 30 x 36) the multiply these equals 1080.

    don't forget to allow for halves and breakages!

  3. 1080 tiles, cina99 is correct

    rdytckr should learn how to use a calculator

  4. 4 inches by 4 inches I presume...

    = 0.333ft x 0.333ft = 0.111ft².

    120ft² / 0.111ft²/tile = 1,081 tiles.

    Otherwise;

    4' x 4' = 16ft².

    120ft² / 16ft²/tile = 7.5 tiles.

  5. You mean four inch by four inch tiles? If so, 9 tiles per square foot. So 9 x 120 = 980 tiles.

  6. 1 tile = 4" x 4" = 16 in²

    120 ft² x (12 in / ft)² x ( 1 tile / 16 in²) = 1080 tiles

  7. It depends on the shape,most people would think this as an area problem and calculate tiles area as equal to 120 sqr ft.On this basis you could say that each tile is 1/9 of a square foot(I assume the tiles are 4" x 4").On this basis you would need 9 x 120 = 1080 tiles.Of course some would break and there would be inequality of size togther with some adhesive in cracks:but on the whole 1100 tiles should do it UNLESS you have a rectangle which is not a whole number of tiles along one or both sides.In such a case you might have to cut up and waste quite a few tiles.
