  1. 48bags .  One 80-lb bag of concrete mix is 1 cubic foot.  Your area ia 96 sq ft, and times 1/2 foot thick is 48 cubic feet, or 48 bags.

  2. A cubic yard of concrete is 54 sq. feet of 6" thick cement (premixed with aggregate and sand). I believe Redi-Mix is 23 bags per cubic yard.

  3. dont forget the sand and gravel.and maybe wire mesh.

  4. u need 1 3/4 yds of concrete to pour this, the bag will tell u somewhat, bt i know that it takes 4 bags to fill a contractor wheelbarrel and 1 wheelbarrel is about 1/8 of a yd..

    so 1 yd is 32 bags, about, and 3/4 is 24 bags......about 55 bags....

    lic. gen. contractor

  5. Your area as calculated is 96 square feet. You will need a total of 6912 lbs of concrete.

You will need either 116 of the 60 lb bags or 87 of the 80 lb bags.

  6. alot

  7. go to HOMEDEPOT.COM and click on cements. It has a calculator that tells you how much you need for yor project.

  8. Call the local cement company, They will help you do the math. It don't matter if they bring it or you mix it. They may give you a deal on the cement and the right sand/gravel. You will have to consider if someone is going to build on it in the future, so you will need the right stuff to support a load, You can ask them to consider you for an over run, That is if they have to dump a load before it sets up in the truck. Put you on the list!
