How many Americans enjoy watching the Bathurst 1000 from Australia?

It is one of the most toughest circuits in the world. I know a lot of Australians watch it & just want to know if it very popular in the United States.

Would some American drivers participate in it?

I have seen it and it looks really cool. I would like to watch more of it but don't know where they are showing it.

It looks like a great race.  I don't know if any NASCAR drivers will race it as it is in October and these guys are winding down the Chase for the Championship.
