How many Americans want to seethe US basketball team loose?

I'm an American and I ca honestly say that I want to see them loose.

The reason is because the US basket ball team is made up of NBA players who are already supposed to be the best in the world. that is why they are NBA so any team that can beat them has to be good- and when two good teams play- then your going to see some good basket ball.

I think if they play these games like they are an All-Star game and intentionally try to embarrass other teams, then they deserve to lose.  If they play these games like most teams play playoff games, and not like some exhibition, I hope they win.

You my freind are un-patriotic, it's true they are the best in the world and have nothing to prove to themselve's or the world. But for a lot of fans who don't have an NBA team this represent what they don't get to expierece in the regular season. Not to mention this is an honor for their country not themselves or an organization.

I agree with you completely. But I don't WANT to see them loose, I'm simply just not rooting for them. I usually root for Lithuania because Darius Songaila (Wizards) plays for them but he's out this year with back problems so I haven't decided if I'll still root for them or not. I guess I will. So....GO LITHUANIA!
