  1. I agree with another answerer, put it on 120.  If you go up to 144, it would be considered Presto.  Good Luck.

  2. Allegro varies... slowest being 120bpm. High range of Allegro is 168bpm.  This is not conjuncture.. its music theory fact.

Here are some others for future reference.

Larghissimo:   Very very slow.......           20 bpm and slower

Largemento Largo: "broadly" very slow..40 bpm and slower

    Largo:.....................Very slow....................40-60 bpm

Adaigo..................slow and "at ease"      66-76 bpm

    Andante.................Walking Pace.............76-108bpm

    Moderato...............Moderately........

    Allegro.................Fast, A March tempo....120-168bpm

    Vivace:..............Lively and Fast, Quickly   140bpm

    Presto...............Very Fast..........................168-200bpm

    Prestissimo..........extremely fast...............200-208bpm

This list is also incomplete. These are just the common names for the tempos likely to be found.  Some names fall inbetween what I have listed, and that gets to be a real mess when trying to decipher all that!

    Hope this has helped.

EDIT: For some reason, the tempo for moderato does not want to show.  It should be.....108-120bpm

  3. 120
