Please, Just veriviable numbers of actual vetoes that went back to Congress for override action, not threatened Vetoes.

I have read here in Y/A many times that "Congress can't do anything because Bush just Vetoes everything they try to do"! Is this correct or just Political Manuvering? Or Political Excuses?

  1. bush NEVER vetoed any bills when republicans had the majority in both houses. He has used the veto power only since the democrats come into the one or two vote majority. He has vetoed 9 bills since democrats got the slim majority.

  2. whats your point?

  3. Google it, I'm too lazy.

  4. it is his job to veto stupid legislation.

  5. Clinton veto was used 37 times in eight years.

Bush used his 12 vetos in a year and a half . With none being used in the first years of his taking office.
