  1. I heard it was around 500.000 with 200.000 french living in England. I live in the Dordogne and there are hundreds here even more own holiday homes. Property is still around 2 thirds cheaper than the UK!

  2. I know that there are lots of Roastbeefs in the Languedoc area: in one place called Magalas, around 40% Roastbeefs live there and I don't think they all speak French and mix with the locals. I think they want to make France one of their British holiday resorts. Houses get extremely expensive (the Roastbeefs have more money than the Frogs)...

  3. More than you would think.  They seem mainly to be monied folk with lots of idle time to embarass themselves with their terrible French and condescending attitudes toward the locals.

  4. more and more every year

  5. No one really knows.

The French census just categorises address as "origin = other EU".

The British consul knows how many Brits register with them. But I've never registered in my last three countries.

Many Brits don't register as resident for tax reasons. Strictly, they should if they are resident 183+ days in any tax year.

Many Brits commute from 2nd homes in France back to a UK home several times per year. Are they resident ?

I know people who have been resident for over 10 years, but have never registered.

    Peter
