How many Cigarettes in the EU and Where?

is it 3200 you can bring back?

I have heard even some places like the canaries I think you cant even bring back 3200?

What places in the EU are sunny for definate in October or have a beach as another choice??

In truth there are no restrictions on the amount of cigarettes that you can bring back to the UK from an EU country. You can bring as much as you can carry provided that the duty has been paid, there is a sticker on each carton if it has,and that they are purely for your, or immediate families, consumption. The customs people are looking for frequent travellers and those with van loads. Canaries are Spanish and are part of the EU. Tenerife is a great place for late summer sun.

Spain and Belgium are the cheapest by far you can bring as many as you like back as long as you have paid the local tax and are for personal use. This dos not include duty free.  Spain for the beaches.

The Canary Islands, although belonging to Spain, are treated as Non-EU custom wise, the quantity of toll-free cigarettes to bring with is only 200.

From some EU-countries quantities up to 3200 are considered as being for personal use and therefore toll-free.

However from Estonia, Bulgaria, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania and Slovakia to can bring back only 200 cigarettes.

Cyprus, Gibraltar and Channel Islands, although belonging to EU, are considered non-EU by customs, quantity is limited to 200 cigarettes to bring in.

All these cigarettes must be officially bought, with tax-paid stickers or to be documented with vouchers in case of being duty-free. (No black-market trade accepted)

Guaranteed sunny places in October will only be the Canary Island. You might have the same nice weather conditions in the Southern parts of Spain, Portugal, Italy or Greek, but the weather may also have all ready changed to autumn conditions.
