  1. Not sure how many exactly, the force is that of the personal restraint slowing your body down with the plane so you don't fly threw the cockpit. Depending on the aircraft type both the plane and your body respectively are moving at 120knots+, coming in on a 3 degree glide slope you wont have to much g from the landing itself its the cable restraint system that slows you down from 120 knots+ to 0 knots in just over a second that produces the majority of G force felt by the body. As a guess I would say its about the same a the driver of a funny car which accelerates to 100 mph in just 1 second. My Guess is 3-5 G's just in the opposite direction.

  2. When landing a jet? Probably not more than 1.5 or so. The landing gear on an F-18 are pretty tough, and built for that kind of thing, but any more than that and the landing gear would be torn apart.

Plus, the more experienced the pilot, the smoother the landing. On a commercial jet for example, you usually won't go over like, maybe 1.01 Gs. It's all about how steep the plane is coming in and how well the pilot flares out the landing.

  3. Not much!! Because you are just going on a surface!! But when you turn you will get some G forces.
