  1. Less than 1%. Most are Buddhist / Shinto.

  2. 2 or 3 maybe

  3. all of the japanese in my town are christians , theres 3 families , they all seem to be very nice people

  4. a lot of japanese are a little ignorant when it comes to religion, and frankly i think it probably offends people. Think about it, they pray at shinto shrines, get married in churches and funeral is buddhist themed, i mean what the heck, its like a religious wal-mart or something!

  5. There's not very many Christians in Japan, but they often tend to be influential people such as the novelist Shusaku Endo. The Imperial family has long had Quakers as tutors for some reason.

  6. about 0.7% of all the japanese are cristians, so there aren't many.

A have a friend from Nagasaki who's a christian, but she also goes to buddhist temples and shinto shrines, so she's not very christian.

Japanese people aren't very religious these days, and the number of christians, buddhists and shinto followers are decreasing.

Many churches, temples and shrines are being abandoned, especially in the countryside.
