I’m planning to get Optus broadband and here it saids the speed limit is 20 mbps, but I’m not to familiar with mbps, I’m only familiar to kbps. So, how many kbps in 20 mbps?

  2. Dude, as far as I know, 1MB equals 1000 KBs

    So, 20MBs would be equal to 20000 KBs

    It doesn't matter to include the time (seconds) factor in this because you are trying to find out what the amount of bytes pumped through the line is, so the answer is: The speed limit of Optus broadband is 20 thousand  kilobytes per second.

  3. 20,000 - basically 20Mbps is waaaay faster than the 56k dial up that you are probably on right now.

    1024 KB= 1 MB

    1024MB = 1 GB

  5. usually they refer to mbps in megaBYTES per second, and your prolly use to megaBITS per second... So there is 20,000kbps in 20mbps, but u have to devide by 8 to get into BITS so 2500 KBPS if u understand..
