  1. i think after the last henry no king would want to be associated with that name he was a bit nutty after all.

  2. 9.

    Everyone seems to have forgotten Henry the Young King -- the son of Henry II, crowned during Henry II's lifetime, and predeceased Henry II.

  3. 8 total (That is 8 out of the first 20 kings)

    ---------------------

    There were two Harold's before William the conqueror. Harold and Henry are related names from old German, but they are not the same.

    ============

    Henry I (Henri Beauclerc) 1100–1135

    Henry VIII  1509–1547

    ----------------------

    No one has used the name to rule in centuries.

  4. 8 in total

    * Henry I (Beauclerc, The Lion of Justice), reigned 1100-1135

    * Henry II (Curtmantle), reigned 1154-1189, father of Richard the Lion-Hearted and Prince John

    * Henry III, reigned 1216-1272

    * Henry IV (Bolingbroke), reigned 1399-1413

    * Henry V, reigned 1413-1422

    * Henry VI, reigned 1422-61 (deposed), then from 1470-71

    * Henry VII, reigned 1485-1509
