According to the film "Super Size Me", there's an average of 4 McDonald's restaurants per square mile in Manhattan.  With an area of 23 sq. miles, that's about 92 McD's in Manhattan alone.

Trying to find some statistics to back that up...

According to Foodio54.com there are now 133 McDonald's restaurants in Manhattan.  They list another 93 in Brooklyn and 77 in the Bronx.  Queens is harder to search since it appears as a bunch of smaller neighborhoods.
