A platoon is structored by what it is meant to do. When i was in, my platoon of Pershing Soldiers consisted of 45 soldiers with various jobs.

A cannon platoon may vary to that of an infantry platoon. Platoons are structured by what their unit manning report allows. I can't tell you exactly how many is in a platoon today because it might be a secret and you must also count the female soldiers.

It depends on the type of platoon. Number of soldiers assigned to a specific platoon will be different--usually 4 squads in a platoon w/ each squad having apprx ten soldiers.
