How many Milli Amps an Hour is a regular AA Battery, NON Rechargeable Batteries...

I know how many mAh a rechargable is, but I just don't know how many milli amps an hour a regular non rechargable battery is...

  1. I know these things...

    If you are talking about alkaline AA batteries, the typical mA-hr rating is between 2000 and 2500.

    Be careful, the rating is not "milliamps an hour", instead it is milliamps x hours!!

    For instance, a 2000 mA-hr battery is generally expected to give 2000 milliamps for one hour, or 1000 mA for 2 hours, or 500 mA for 4 hours.

    In reality, the batteries don't meet their ratings for all discharge rates (Peukert's law), because they have other losses too, but the mA-hr rating is a pretty good apples-to-apples comparison.


  2. The link below lists the mAH capacity of the various alkalline battery sizes.  AA batteries are listed as 2000 mAH.

    A normal AA "NON Rechargeable battery is Between 400 and 900 Milli Amps an Hour...

    The highest Ive used for electronic devices is 2700 mAh, thats 3 Times Longer than the average AA Battery...
