  1. One according to the JW Website

  2. The Watchtower Society became associated with the United Nations Department of Public Information (DPI) as a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) in 1992. But in 1992, DPI NGO's were not considered an actual "part" of the UN. DPI were also not required to pledge any support for the UN or its ideals in 1992. But those requirements later changed.

But as far as I know, the WBTS no longer have DPI NGO status since the requirement changes were brought to their attention. Additionally, cards were indeed required to gain access to certain features and areas of the U.N library, and not necessarily simply the main section of the library. That is the entire reason for the NGO status in the first place (before the requirements changed), to gain access to research materials in the library.

To the second question: Its no more true than your accusations that the WTBS intentionally invest in companies producing weapons of war. Even though you chose to ignore it, conclusive evidence was indeed presented in your last question to debunk those allegations. There was the official SEC report posted by Keiichi, and the official letter from the WTBS society explaining the situation.

  3. are they STILL involved with the United Nations??

I also read a letter published by the UN saying that it was not necessary to register as an NGO to get a "library card" (as was the excuse used by the Watchtower Society as to why they were an NGO for a time).

So, in light of that, how would their involvement be explained?  they must've been a member for other reasons, since they didn't need membership for that library card.  maybe for political influence?   tsk tsk
