Why didn't the UN give the Palestinian people a homeland in 1946?  Why did Lebanon kick the Palestinians out of their land in the 1970's?  Why do the Palestinians in Gaza continue to fire rockets into Israel and provoke a war while the Palestinians in the West Bank continue to have a peaceful coexistence? I thought the Palestinians just wanted to have a land to call their own.  Why aren't the West Bank and Gaza good enough for them?

I'm Egyptian and I recognize Israel is defending itself. As a Muslim I have to say Palestinians are the lost sheept into Islam. It's true although many Palestinians think Egyptians are traitors

how many tried killing Israelis? how many hundreds of bombs does Israel have to put up with every year? the Palestinians kill innocent men women and CHILDREN year in and year out. the Palestinians proved they can not fight by losing the six day war so instead they are cowardly terrorists. i feel no pity for them.

Israel never killed any innocent Palestinian deliberately. Palestinian terrorists were the legitimate targets in all operations and unfortunately when the terrorists were hiding behind children and woman's skirts a few civilians got hurt or killed. On the other side the Palestinian and other terrorists killed in act of terror and war approximately 26,000 Israelis in the 60 years of history of the modern Jewish State. Just think about the Kassam rockets from Gaza and the latest slaughter of young students in the Israeli capital, Jerusalem. The Palestinians have Jordan as a homeland and 20 other huge Arab countries. The Jewish people has only one Jewish State. The tiny State of Israel which was re established after 2000 years of exile. And most importantly, Palestine never existed as a state, hence "Palestinian" is just an artificially created expression.

You should ask the question both ways (i.e also how many Israelis have been killed by Palestinians since 1948) - I'd like to compare them

I've mentioned this before.

Simple numbers games are pointless.

All that really matters is context.

How many of them were combatants? How many of them were civilians? How many of the civilians were killed in the context of operations against militants? How many of the civilians killed were honest mistakes? How many were killed within a given year? What year was it?

And so on.

And once you do answer all of those questions, the bigger question would be... what is your point?

Your question is similar to asking how many Germans did the Allies kill during WWII without bothering to inquire or even learn about anything else.
