One hundred centisimos makes up One Balboa. A Balboa is the Panamanian Currency that is equivalent to a Dollar. It's value is pinned to the US Dollar. Coin money in Panama is in Panamanian Quarters, dimes, nickles, and pennies of the Balboa. Paper money, however is actually the US Dollar, but they still call out the money in Balboas. One Centavo (Centisimo) is equal to one penny.

Leslie S, it seems to me that you are thinking of 4 quarters that make a dollar but the actual question is how many cents make a dollar and not how many coins.

So therefore the correct response everybody should know. Brcause it is 100 "centisimos" or "cents" that make up a buck.
