  1. Seriously wake up dude - THEY ALL ARE.  And if they don't sort it out soon. they will be banned from entering European competition, as both UEFA and FIFA are set to crack down on teams with massive debts.  Bring it on I say - Europe would be ten times better without ITV's god awful "England is the best at everything" coverage.

David g does not have a ******* clue what he is on about - it makes no difference if you make a profit of £40 million a year, if you are using that profit to service a rising, for example, £450 million debt - like all the big English clubs are currently doing.  Go away and learn some basic economics you ignorant prick.

  2. Correct me if I'm wrong but West Brom are (possibly) the only SOLVENT club in the English Premier League..Boing Boing

  3. They are all insolvent and ought be in administrative receivership. For example. Take Abramovich away from Chelsea, and, what are you left with? Precisely. Sad outfits, containing moronic people, whose main preoccupation is one of........ chucking 'gold coin' down a 'bottomless pit', and, borrowing money from 'Peter', to pay 'Paul.' Money has become meaningless, players are an embarrassment to watch, stressed-out managers come and go, and, the 'w.a.g.s' go up-and-down (like the elevator at Selfridges!) Bring on Brian Rix, and, a team of chartered accountants.

  4. oh

  5. None, each team receives 10 million per year from sky tv.add match day attendances, add memorabilia, add cup games and only a tosser will lose money.Man City have been spending too much on ordinary players in the last 2 years and been unable to sell them for a profit. So it means they have to watch it a bit for a while, but they are never going broke. The premiership is the world's only league that is highly profitable. If a club gets relegated sky provide a 3 year multi-million pound parachute to give you a financial soft landing, even though they are not on tv anymore.

What is the most profitable event in world football????is it winning the world cup or the premiership or the EUFA champions league....no none of these it's promotion from the championship to the premiership.Yes it's a fact,£22 million  for the promoted teams each

  6. Well here are 5 with large debts:

Manchester United: £660m (At June 2006).

    Liverpool: £350m (At January 2008).

    Arsenal: £307m (At November 2007).

    Fulham: £159m (At June 2006).

Newcastle: £110m ('Liabilities' at June 2007)  ÃƒÂ¢Ã‚€Â“ before Mike Ashley takeover).
