  1. I prefer the Egypt ones..Mexicans laugh at me & call me"Negrito"

  2. There are many pre-hispanic cities that have pyramids in Mexico.  Some of the most important are:

    - Teotihuacan close to Mexico City.  This center has two main pyramids and many more around them and many other buildings and temples.

    - Chichen Itza close to Merida (and Cancun). Many pyramids including the temple of Kukulcan.

    - Palenque in Chiapas

    - Temple Mayor. in Mexico City

But there are many, many sites all around Mexico, like in Tula, Oaxaca, Veracruz, Michoacan, Edo de Mexico, Morelos, Yucatan, Quintana Roo, Tabasco, etc.

  3. Click the wikipedia site below.  Under the heading of CHRONOLOGY, there is a good list of sites in Mesoamerica.  Mesoamerican is generally defined as from northern Mexico down to Honduras.

There's a great book if you have an interest in travelling to all these sites called " THE COMPLETE VISITOR'S GUIDE TO MESOAMERICAN RUINS " By JOYCE KELLY.  It's 527 pages,  That may give you a idea of how many pyramids there are in Mesoamerica.

  4. for the moment... countless.

Besides the ones already excavated and recognized,  like the ones mentioned before, there are plenty of ones hidden in the dense jungle of Yucatan, Campeche, Tabasco, Veracruz and other states.

You might want to plan a vacation to Yucatan peninsula and you could visit actual pyramids and digging sites!

One of my nephews is an archaeologist and work in several projects and he is the one who tells me about the new findings.

    Good luck
