I'm a Republican voting for McCain but I do have many friends who are Democrats and this is the first time in my life that I've seen them go Republican in such numbers.

That's something that won't be known until after the election as a lot of people don't vote the way they talk and tell the pollsters or other people.

I do know one thing.  I'm one registered Democrat who WILL NOT be voting for my parties candidates this year.

I'm not votting this time around. I liked McCain the whole time till he picked Palin.  I think McCain just picked her name out of a hat and I'm just can't vote for him b/c of her.  I don't think she brings anything to the table in this race for the republican party.

As a true Republican (fiscal conservative/social libertarian) I will vote Obama because the current, turncoat, version of the Republican party has rejected its basic tenets:  balanced budgets, zero debt, personal responsibility and choice.

When my party comes back to its senses, my vote will return as well.  No one who claims to be a Republican can support BORROW and SPEND.  That is poison to any Republican.

But I do know a few Democrats that are voting Republican this time.
