As of May 18, 2006, there are 7950 Starbucks coffee stores dispersed throughout the United States. Of course, that number has probably grown since 2006, so my best estimate is that there are currently about 8000 or more Starbucks stores in the US. Starbucks has 3275 more coffee stores located in other countries in the world. Hope I was helpful in some way!
