My friend got hurt and has been on T3's for a while now, and he's starting to take more than he should at a time. I would like to know what a dangerous amount is. Sources would be helpful but aren't necessary

  1. t3's usually just make you really sleepy. But if he has a prescription for them dont worry unless he is getting them from someone else. then may be talk to his parents.

  2. Its never good to take more than whats prescribed, Because they can damage the liver. If you take too many at one time you wont over dose. Youll just puke your guts out( not literally)

  3. It is the tylenol in tylenol 3 (or any other tylenol product) that can cause serious liver damage from continued use (8 tabs/day for over 10 days). A person can lose maybe 1/2 their liver and not feel that bad, so the problem adds up over time of continuous use. By the time you notice there is a problem, your in for life long problems.

Alcohol, even in small amounts, increases the toxicity of tylenol (acetaminophen) on the liver. It is a major cause of liver failure/liver transplants in the United States.

This discussion ignores the codeine effects, which is a narcotic, alcohol use increased the risk of death from respiratory depression (a person stops breathing).
