  1. What kind of speakers are these?  Just get the best you can afford, if you are using these for music, get a straigt power amp and separate pre-amp as these have more current(or torque).  Wattage is no measure of speaker performance.


  2. I agree with Max on one point. What kind of speakers are they and how efficient are they? Speakers rated at 2000w seems unusual to me. What are you trying to run? It is highly unlikely you would need anything near that kind of power, but perhaps you made a typo. 200w speakers would be much more likely. In any case the ratings of speakers are the maximum ratings, you don't need to power them at the ratings for them to work.

  3. I have two 10'' subwoofers there 800 watts max rated but the power of the speakers are measured in RMS which is the true power of the speakers so there are 400 watts each if I power them with a 2000 watt amp it will do job even if it less watts because company's measured them to the max and make you wonder wow that's a lot of power just keep that in mind RMS is true power.
