  1. 1000 watts over 1 hour is 1 Killowatt-hour.  2000 watts over a half an hour is also 1 Killowatt-hour.  10 watts over 100 hours is 1 Killowatt-hour.  A megawatt delivered for 278 seconds is 1 Killowatt-hour. You get the idea.  A Killowatt hour is a measurement of energy like an erg, a calorie, a joule or a BTU.  The power company charges for the energy delivered over a period of time. The energy is measured in Killowatt-hours.  Even your little 4 watt night light consumes 1 Killowatt-hour of energy in 250 hours of continuous operation.

  2. It is not a real simple question. You have to define exactly what you mean. A rough average is 1000 watts per hour, but that does not take into account peak wattage which runs 1.1616 times that or its RMS wattage. When the peak wattage is maintained longer then the average can exceed 1000 watts per hour.

  3. 1000

  4. 1000 ,  kilo = 1000
