How many World of Warcraft gamers out there?

I dont play, but my boyfriend does. I was just looking to get a average poll of how many people really play this game.

Did any of yall get to check out the Lich King yet? Do you like it?

Over 10 million and my husband is a faithful player. I've created two to three charters myself. My Husband says if your boyfriend is pre-playing Lich King, he must be pretty good himself.

There is World of Warcraft and Burning Legion. Wrath has not come out and doesn't until late this year or maybe even next year.

There's a beta version of Lich King out, I'm looking forward to it.

As to how many really play the game?  Millions according to Blizzard.

About 10 or 11 million WoW players out there now.

Wikipedia says 9 million but its not updated to current year. With WoTLK coming soon 1/2 a million will probably be added to that number.
