  1. Hecares are metric. Acres are imperial. I sold 3 acres of land, even Land Titles  couldn't do the conversion. I ended up with a strip of land 4 inches wide and about 300 yards long.

    1 ha * 10000 m^2/ha * (3.2808399)^2 ft^2 / m^2 * 1 acre / 43560 ft^2 = 2.471 acres

    However, using your value for the size of an acre:

    1 ha * 10000 m^2/ha * (3.2808399)^2 ft^2 / m^2 * 1 acre / 40000 ft^2 = 2.691 acres
