  1. Asking or answering in acres is probably not a good idea because not all parcels of land would necessarily be good for a driving range regardless of size.  But I would say roughly ten acres would do it.  It needs to be 350 yards long, relatively flat so people can get accurate yardages when hitting, and the width depends on how many hitting stations you want to have, but 100 yards wide would give you plenty of room for 40 to 50 stations.

  2. You need approximately 18 acres, including parking and a building.

  3. You could probably get the job done with Landscape Architects instead of acres.

  4. Sorry everyone, but these estimates are WAY OFF!!!!!

Please, don’t guess, if you don’t know, don’t answer, don’t reply!!!!!

1 acre is 4840 square yards, or 43560 sq feet or 4047 sq meters.

So, a range that is 400 yards long and 350 yards deep is 140000 square yards, that’s less than 29 acres, and a huge range.

I read an article about a range near my house that was for sell. It has a very big parking lot, mini-golf, batting cages, large short game area, putting green, large pro-shop, the range has 150++ hitting spaces. The facility was less than 90 acres.

  5. Well, it all depends on how far you want the range, how many spaces, wether it be double height or singular.

    You need to specify.

I'd have the length of the range over 200M....

  6. Depends on if we are talking putt putt or a real course. You will need a c**p ola of arces for an entire course but if you just want to build a hole then a few depending on what par.

  7. Generally, you need about 120 acres.  You might need 150 if you are dealing with some very steep topography and you're not able to use the land efficiently.  Or, you may be dealing with a very flat parcel of land which would allow you to do the course on about 100 acres. It's still recommend a minimum of 120 acres for 18 holes and a small driving range.

  8. The averge acerage needed for club house, equipment and range is approximately 10-20 acres. depending on the initial design, you can go smaller or larger.

  9. if u want somthing big 80 (for super pros or pros or trainer-ing people 50 for just a simple one and 10 for just a little private (small range) and 120 for a little somthing more
