How many acres of land are used for agriculture in the US?

don't know the total but I heard recently that 60 million acres are used for corn alone

The United States has a land area of about 2.3 billion acres.  Of this about 442 million acres are in crops, 20% of all land.  651 million acres are in pasture or grassland, about 26% of the land.  661 million acres are in forest use, about 29% of the land.  All of this could be considered agriculture land depending on what you are asking about, it would be about 75% of all the land in the US.
