If a human were to live naturally as the animal that it is, how much land would it need to forage, hunt, etc.?

  1. If you'd allow farming, only a few acres. If not, it would depend a lot on the terrain and climate. If it were a dry area like the Serengheti he'd need several square miles because it doesn't support many herbivores per acre. Lush grassland would take less, but a square mile probably would not be enough.

  4. Not much, if it knew the plants and was not fussy about food. Just about any part of the cattail is edible at some time of the year. Add a pond to provide fish, fogs, insects, turtles, and snakes, plus a few more edible plants and you are set.
