People tell me 60mpg but I dunno bout that. I feel that internet strangers would be able to better help me in my quest for a supereconobox.

BTW anyone know about what they weigh?

  1. My uncle's 4dr wagon w/3cyl did over 50mpg routinely. Personally, I'd look for a Honda CRX HF model.  50-60mpg easily, and better looking/more sporty.

  2. Fuel consumption can vary wildly between cars , drivers and environment.

My '94 Suzuki Swift , which is the same as a Geo Metro..(actually , the Metro IS a Suzuki) gets a real 55Mpg on the highway in summer with normal driving.

In winter time it snows here and the temperatures are very cold (-20C), but with the very same driving , my mileage is at BEST 30Mpg.

But thats OK , when my Mpg is halved because of the cold , so is every other suckers. !! :-)

  3. They usually get about 45-50mpg from what I understand.  The older 3 banger models actually do better on gas than the 1995+ LSi 4 cylinder models.  However, if you need to use it for ANY highway I would suggest the 79hp 4 cylinder model over the 50hp 3 cylinder.  They're super good on gas, but not good highway cars.
