How many actual climate scientists were involved in the IPCC WG1 report?

A previous similar question of mine was deleted, so I'm rephrasing it here.

This shouldn't be an issue open to opinions, but a matter of fact (as the actual authors and their credentials are published). Here's the list of contributors and reviewers:

So, can anyone answer my question factually (hint: actual counting may be required)? How many of the people on the above list seem to be actual climate scientists?

  1. 4- including 3 janitors.

  2. CrazyConservative's link is to an analysis of authors to WG2, the "impacts" section.  The article criticizes that biologists and sociologists would be involved in assessing impacts.  It's a false argument... who would they claim should assess (for example) biological impacts, climate scientists?  It's a silly, misleading little trick they pull.

  3. There were  14 scientists

  4. I am not willing to waste my time counting, but these people did a study regarding the composition of scientist which did make it up.

Benjamin, you have way to much time on your hands.

  5. Ken. No offense, but you're no Bob.

    ....or are you?

  6. I can't imagine why they would delete that and let some of the crappy ones through.  Go figure.

I would guess that even the scientists were mostly politically appointed, however, my view of the UN isn't as high as most alarmist

  7. The IPCC report was based on the work of thousands of scientists.  All the authors on the list are qualified in the field.  I'm too lazy to count, do that yourself.
