i have an amp pushing 1000 watts rms at 1 ohm and the 2 subs are bridged to one channel at one ohm. does that mean each sub is gettin 500 watts each or is each sub gettin 1000 watts each? and is it ok to under power the subs because i have pioneer spl and they are rated at 1000 watts rms.

  1. Each sub is getting 500 watts rms....They share the same power. So long as both speakers/subs are the same resistance/ohms.

And YES it is ok to under power speakers...what do you think you do when you lower the volume on  the radio.....you are actually controlling voltage or "watts".
