How many amps will be used on the INPUT of 1 to 3 phase variable frequency drive if on output is 3ph 3kw load?

Variable frequency drive

input: 1 Phase 220VAC AMPS ????

output: 3 Phase 220VAC on load of 3 KW

let say that power factor is perfect 1

    3000/220=13.64amps

    It really is that simple :)


  2. Power = volts * amps

    3000W = 220V * amps

    13.6Amps for perfect efficiency. Figure 80% efficiency, or 18A.

    Check the spec sheet of your drive for more accurate estimate.
