  1. no offense to wakeboarding, i love it and all but its just not x games material, they are one of those sports thats just not progressing like it should be and the fan base is waaaay down there, no one really cares about watching wakeboarding people just love to do it

  2. i'm so pissed i love wakeboarding

  3. Yeah they shouldn't have taken out wakebording from the X Games.

  4. me

  5. As a wakeboarder of some 14 plus years I have to agree that watching it on TV does the sport no justice. If you have ever got the chance to see a pro such as Danny Harf, Parks Bonifay or Darin free ride you will agree that they are way toned down in competition. Just watch one of the videos out and you'll understand. I suggest the video "Shaft" some sick riding!

  6. heck yeah it is the best sport on earth

  7. X-games should have left wakeboarding in the schedule. It is an x game. People say the fan base is small. They most certainly have never been to an event. Wakeboarding is growing in popularity every year. Here in WI they had a first time event and had to close down the street because so many people attended. I agree that competitions are a different forum than free riding but it is still an opportunity to watch pros ride and interact with them. I have met Parks Bonifay, Brian Grubb, Danny Harf, Erik Ruck and Darin Shapiro. They are real cool guys and will share wakeboarding tips with you in a second. I even had the privilege of befriending a pro (not in the magazines) and he taught me how to complete many tricks. Unless you have been to an event, don't talk about the waining fan base of wakeboarding. It doesn't compare to some dvd you saw.
