  1. The number of assistant attorneys general varies greatly by state.  Contact your local office of attorney general to find out the number and their pay grade or pay range.

    Yahoo search can lead you to contacts in other states.

Probably depends on the size of the state and I know of no specific number a state would have so it would likely vary Have one attorney general and then as many assistants as it would take to do business.  As to the income, that would vary by state.  Salaries of state officials are public documents or public information and you can write and ask under the state's public records laws, assuming most states do have them.  The federal law has public records acts and gives access.  There should be no problem in getting the information.  Just contact the state treasurer and ask their office as they should have that information.  Now it is possible that  you might have to ask for a specific document, but most times  you can just ask or ask for job postings of assistant attorney generals.  Or can contact AG's office and ask them how many assistants they have.   they can oftenmake more in private sector, but many do want to work for the state and it is path to AG and to other state offices as well.
