How many bags are we allowed to take when traveling to Mexico?

I was told if we overpack we will get charged? Is this true.

2 bags per person, 20 pound limit.

Well actually it depends who you are flying with! If You are flying with MEXICANA, you need to take two bags, each weighting 60 pounds. If you are flying with US Airways or American , you might be able to fly with 80 pounds.

Most airlines allow at least one, and sometimes two, bags of not more than 50 pounds each.  You will be charged for extra bags, or if your bag goes over that weight.

But check with your individual airline to be sure.
