  1. Take as many classes as possible. You're not going to become a prima ballerina by taking one or two classes a week. Prima ballerinas are the type of people who eat, sleep, and breathe dance. They practice everyday for many hours.

Also, include other kinds of dancing, not just ballet. It'll make you a more well-rounded dancer.

  2. d**n you're skinny

the most advanced students at my pre-professional went 5 days a week for 3-4 hours

    its tough

    good luck

  3. Same(except im not as tall)! What you should do is to take class 5,6, or 7 days a week at a professional school. The school should be near where you live. Next summer you should audition for their summer program to see where you could be.

    Hope this helps! :)

  4. If you want to dance for ABT, look for where they are auditioning ballet dancers. Usually in the summer. It's not a matter of how many classes per week, it is a matter of doing it correctly. You need to have a perfect or near perfect turn out, arches, and flexibility. You should be able to do the combination to a perfection. The reason it's that hard is, that they do a lot of auditioning, and you are also competing with the ABT residential dancers. Work hard but, work correctly, or take classes from ABT.  I auditioned for ABT once. I was too old, but I just did it for the experiences and to see what it is all about.
