  1. I would say half that. Many folks don't realize that a bank can fail and yet a portion of their savings is still insured. There are ways to structure accounts to get around the $100K FDIC limit if one is that well off. Otherwise, you may be better off going to a credit union - hardly any of them are in trouble.


  2. I think over 400

    There are so many small banks that just won't make it!

  3. FDIC currently has 150 on there "watch list"  so my guess is less than that.  Not all of the banks will go under.

  4. Before Bush leaves office at least that many!
