How many batteries do I need for a system?

I have a cobalt LT, stock battery. I have two Pioneer TS W307D2's set up right now. Using a 1f capacitor also. Going to be running 4 amps, 300w RMS each single channel to 4 of the same pioneer subs.

Amps = Kicker ZX300.1 x 4 of them.

How many/what kind of battery should I use?

Thanks.

  1. ok running 4 amps. not a good idea for 2 subs. if your planning on using 1 amp per coil thats also not a good idea. these amps have gains and bass boosts? correct. now you will have 1 set of rca cabels coming in correct? now your taking that 5v rms at the most and spliting it 4 times. now this will give you 1.25 volts per rca when you finish spliting them. every amp no matter how equall they are in model nm power ect. there will be different powers between them. now your 4 vc will all be moving at different rates. ie power consumption. if it was my install instead of 4 amps i would shoot for 1 posibly 2 amps and daisy chain them so there as close to being the same as possible. if you do decide you still want the 4 amps i dont forsee the subs lasting along time! just my .02  at least 2 kinetik 800 to go with the stock one should be fine

  2. idk

  3. what????

  4. Well if we're talking about Kicker here, your talking about quality. Especially their line of ZX brand amplifiers.

        Most likely as well, when we're talking quality, we're talking power as well, of course. Power is a very important necessity in having a good system.

       Now if you're going to be running Four of the ZX300.1, I'd like to suggest AT LEAST two extra batteries, considering the amplifiers are mono as well.

       I'd go with Four if you have the money, just to be safe, but if your on a budget I'd definitely reccomend two.

       It also depends on which batteries you get too, so I'd go for something name brand, such as Duralast.

       Hope I helped!

  5. You're going to have a h**l of a time getting all that set up properly.  You'd be far better off getting one much larger amp so you don't have to try to match outputs, which will require a dmm with a clamp, test tones and some knowledge.  Anyway, your combined wattage of your 4 amps looks to be about 1,200 watts rms.  If this is correct, just about any decent battery will do just fine.  You won't need more then the one under the hood.  But what you will need is a high output alternator.
