How many bearings go into a skateboard?

I just got a new skateboard with everything but bearings. I want to buy them, but they come in packs of 8. does it take 8 bearings or more for one skateboard?

each wheel needs 2 bearings. at a skateshop bearings are always come in a pack of either 8 or 16. 16 pack bearings are more for rollerblading. while the 8 bearings pack are more for skateboarding.

so buy the 8

2 bearings on each wheels. x 4 is 8. ur correct.

Only 8. One for the front of the wheel and one for the back of the wheel. Just make sure you get some decent bearings, they make a bid difference between fast and smooth, or slow and rough.
