How many beers are in a party ball?

If you're referring to those little plastic things (I've heard them called party pigs personally) then that would be 24 x 12 oz. beers when full.  They're 2.25 gallons or 228 ounces.

When I brewed for a micro in the 80's we had a beer-ball that held 5 US gallons.

It held about 53 12oz beers.

They are 5 gallons and they hold 53.3 beers.

Correction:

2.25 gallons X 128 fl oz/gal = 288 fl. ounces. This then is 24 12 fl ounce beers.
